Artistic exchange to raise funds for sea and islands

PANO
– An artistic exchange “Towards the national border, sea and islands”
will be staged on October 4th at the Theatre of the Ho Chi Minh City
Television, and broadcast live on its channel HTV9.
The
event, co-organized by the city’s Standing Committee of Fatherland
Front and the television company, aims to raise funds to support coast
guard and fisheries surveillance forces, islanders and naval troops.
From
the beginning of this year, they have collected VND 32 billion towards
the Fund “For the national sea and islands – For the national
frontline”.
Recently,
Ho Chi Minh City sent two delegations to visit Truong Sa (Spratly)
archipelago and DK1 platforms and present patrol boats and equipment
worth VND 14 billion to troops there.
